Insulation Installer Duties & Salary in Switzerland

In Switzerland, an Insulation Installer, known as "Isoliermonteur" in German or "Monteur en isolation" in French, is responsible for installing insulation materials in buildings to improve energy efficiency and thermal comfort. Switzerland has a varied climate, with colder temperatures in the mountainous regions and milder conditions in the lower-lying areas, making insulation crucial for maintaining comfortable indoor environments and reducing energy consumption. An exciting fact is that Switzerland is known for its high-quality construction standards, and insulation installation plays a significant role in achieving energy-efficient buildings.

The main duties of an Insulation Installer in Switzerland include assessing insulation needs, selecting appropriate materials, and applying insulation to walls, roofs, and floors. They may work with various insulation types, such as mineral wool, polyurethane foam, or glass wool, depending on the project requirements. Attention to detail, knowledge of insulation techniques, and adherence to building regulations are essential for successful installation.

Key skills required for this role include proficiency in insulation techniques, ability to work with hand and power tools, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Insulation Installers in Switzerland can find work opportunities in cities like Zurich, Geneva, Basel, and Bern, where there is a demand for energy-efficient construction and renovation projects.

The expected salary range for an Insulation Installer in Switzerland is between CHF 50,000 and CHF 80,000 per year. The hourly rate can range from CHF 25 to CHF 40.

What browsers does gigexchange support? arrow-right
See the technical specifications page in our Help Centre. Our preferred browser is chrome. Always use the latest version. We do not recommend using IE for our platform
Are there any fees associated to cancellations, refunds and disputes? arrow-right
See our terms & conditions relating to fees in our pay section on the Help Centre.
What is the difference between a fixed price & negotiable gig? arrow-right
When you set a fixed price gig, the price is non-negotiable, so anyone applying for the gig agrees to the price set in the gig listing. Negotiable gigs have no price set on the listing, but allow the gig lister and gig workers to negotiate through the private chat portals. Once an agreement is made, the scope or works and price is updated on the gig listing and agreed to by both gig lister and worker. With a negotiable gig, you can also make a change to the scope of the gig once it is in flight. Please note, any new price is just for the additional work, not the total value of the old and new.
